Kendra, also known by her battle name "Peaches," entered the world of LudoSport with a passion for all things active and nerdy. While not a dedicated Star Wars fan, she was drawn to the sport as a unique challenge—an opportunity to test herself and explore something entirely new in the fitness world. With no prior experience in martial arts or combat sports, she embraced the learning process with enthusiasm.
What began as simple curiosity quickly grew into a deep love for the sport, fueled by the incredible community that surrounds it. Along the way, she found not only a new passion but also a strong appreciation for the people who make LudoSport so special—including, perhaps, a certain rector.

Robert Zollinger

Rob Zollinger has a lifelong passion for martial arts, holding a Brown Belt in Karate, a Green Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a Level 3 Combatives Instructor certification from the U.S. Army. After retiring from military service, he sought a new challenge and discovered LudoSport while searching for HEMA or Kendo.
Over the past five years, he has fully embraced the sport, combining his extensive background in martial arts with the unique techniques and community-driven spirit of LudoSport.
Outside of LudoSport, Rob works as an electrical lineman with I.B.E.W. 1249 in New York and is a proud husband and father. He welcomes newcomers to experience the sport’s unique blend of combat, strategy, and community.

Sarah Flenders
Sarah, known in the arena as “Moxie,” brings a creative and community-driven spirit to LudoSport. A professional photographer with a career background in event management and graphic design, she also supports the academy through its digital and visual presence.
Joining LudoSport as a student in search of better mental health and a more active lifestyle, she quickly found something far more meaningful…a welcoming community, lifelong friendships, and a sport she truly loves.
Now both student and instructor, Moxie is passionate about growing alongside her fellow combatants and helping others find confidence, connection, and joy through LudoSport.

Heather is a chemist+optical physicist who spends her days shooting lasers (pew pew!) and as many evenings and weekends as she can training in LudoSport. Drawn in by her love of sci-fi and fantasy, she quickly discovered the thrill of competition, which fuels her drive to keep improving.
Motivated by her instructors and friends in the LudoSport community and a deep desire to learn as much as she can about the sport, Heather now teaches Forms 1 and 2. Off the mat, she’s cheered on by her two young kids - future duelists in the making!
Heather Vanselous:

Brian has been a competitive spirit through his athletic careers and now brings that to his teaching style.
Better known as Ginger, he welcomes any new challenge and seeks to share his experience with anyone willing to learn. Emphasizing the inclusive nature of the community, he is willing to help anybody who needs a hand.
With a history in many sports and medieval combat, every class is full of learning and laughter.
Whether you practice martial arts or simply want to try something new, LudoSport is the way to go.

Adam Buck
Adam joined Ludosport in 2019 because of his love of Star Wars, martial arts, and sports. He found that Ludosport was a fun active way that combined all 3. Adam has traveled all over the US for his instructor certifications. He currently holds certification for form 1, form 2, course Y, form 3 long saber, form 3 staff, and form 4 long saber.
Adam’s favorite form is form 3 with the long blade. Though he does love to compete with his staff from time to time.
In 2024, Adam was one of 5 athletes from the US to compete in Champions Arena held in Milan, Italy. One of his goals since he joined Ludosport.
His favorite part of being an instructor is watching his students succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Cam is a Form 1 Instructor and assists Adam in classes in the up-state New York area!
