James Billings

James Billings is a lifelong fan of movies and video games, especially those featuring swords and lightsabers.
As one of the academies’ most experienced instructors, he is certified to teach Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, and Course Y (an introductory course to dual short sabers, saber staff, and higher-level forms).
Not only is James a certified instructor, but he is also the academies’ Master Sabersmith. He looks after and maintains its armory, in addition to building custom sabers as a hobby.

Michael Masangkay
Michael Masangkay has a background in multiple sports disciplines … running, tennis, mountain biking, kayaking, and triathlons. As one of the first students in San Francisco, he is currently certified to teach Form 1, Course Y and Form 3 dual sabers.
He also has experience in Form 2 and Form 3 (saber staff).
Michael has also previously found success in the first ever US National Championships by winning 1st place in Style in 2018.

Darien Caine
Darien Caine found Ludosport in search of something to do on the weekends and found a lifelong passion instead.
A student since 2018, Darien is currently certified to teach Form 1 receiving his certification in Honolulu, HI. He is also a graduate of Form 2.
Darien is also a 2x USA National Style Champion. He has extensive experience in domestic and international competitions (e.g. Madrid and Stockholm).
Darien's goal is to not only continue helping Ludosport's international community grow but also to foster and train athletes who wish to compete at the sport's highest levels.
